Michael W. Carr
CEO
As a founder of ACS, along with partner Dennis Archer Jr., Michael Carr has been in the position of CEO since it’s inception in 2004. Under their leadership ACS has grown from a startup company to one of the leading minority owned marketing services company’s in the country. Mr. Carr guides the company’s strategic direction, focused on providing delivery excellence to some of the country’s leading brands in the automotive, consumer packaged goods and medical device & diagnostics industries.
Prior to founding ACS Mr. Carr was president of Wireless Resources, Inc. a regional provider of wireless networking design and implementation services. Previously Mr. Carr spent a long career with IBM in sales and marketing. Holding various leadership positions in sales and sales management. Mr. Carr concluded his IBM career in IBM Global Services in systems integration and management consulting before launching his entrepreneurial career.
Michael W. Carr is a native of Detroit, Michigan and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University, in East Lansing, MI.
Dennis W. Archer, Jr.
President
Dennis W. Archer Jr., an attorney, serves as president and founding partner of Archer Corporate Services (ACS), which he founded along with CEO Mike Carr.
Archer felt that his marketing and advertising background coupled with Carr's IT and management expertise would bring a fresh approach to the fulfillment space. Under their leadership, ACS has grown into one of the nation’s leading marketing services firms, providing flawless execution and innovation to clients such as General Motors, Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and Michelin.
Archer’s civic and philanthropic involvement includes chairing the 2016 Mackinac Policy Conference as the entity's Vice Chairman, in addition to serving on the boards of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, Dennis W. Archer Foundation, the i.am.angel Foundation, Wish Upon a Teen and Walnut Lake Preschool. Corporately, Archer serves on the General Motors Diversity Supplier Council and as a director of Main Street Bank, where he has served on the audit, loan and CRA committees.
A native Detroiter, Archer received both his undergraduate and juris doctor degrees from the University of Michigan.
Dawn Collins
Director of New Business Development
Dawn Collins has been a key member of the ACS organization since December of 2005. She brings thirty years of proven success managing complex and rapidly changing business environments, with expertise in optimizing marketing growth strategies, and cost optimization initiatives. In her current position, Dawn is focused on new business development and organic growth within her current client portfolio. Ms. Collins has extensive experience across multiple industry verticals, including automotive, medical device, pharmaceuticals, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, and pet care.
Dawn is a Michigan native and received a B.A. in Literature from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Imran Sheriff
Account Representative Manager
Imran Sheriff joined the ACS team in February 2018 and has been recently promoted to Account Representative. Prior to that, he had over 10 years of experience in the fulfillment and warehousing business. Imran brings a high level of knowledge as he as worked with many different industries including medical, financial, retail and automotive. In his current position he is focused on maintaining the high level of service that ACS brings to General Motors, while developing digital solutions, as the current state of business rapidly changes.
Imran is a Michigan native and attended the University of Eastern Michigan.
Joy Wells
Account Representative
Joy Wells joined ACS at the end of June 2022 as an Account Representative. A Detroit native, she joins us with a strong client relations and vendor management background, having over 10 years of experience as an Account Manager within the default mortgage industry. In her current position, Joy manages a team of program coordinators who oversee the day-to-day execution of her clients’ marketing and fulfillment programs. Her primary focus at ACS is to build strong working relationships with clients and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Jason Tharp
Account Representative
Jason Tharp joined the ACS team in February 2017 as an Account Coordinator and has since been promoted to Account Representative. Before joining ACS, he was in Project Management for over 10 years and worked in a variety of industries. In his current role, he brings his knowledge of General Motors' processes and procedures with the goal of helping both companies develop and grow in their relationship.
Jason was born in Lansing, Michigan, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from Western Michigan University.
Laura Nowell
Director of Operations
Laura Nowell joined ACS as an Operations Manager in 2016. She was promoted to Director of Operations in 2023. Laura manages the Account coordinators. Her team is responsible for the execution of the day-to-day operations of our marketing programs. Her focus is also on process improvement activities within the team to ensure ACS streamlines and improves internal operations while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Laura graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Penn State University and has many years of experience in customer service within the marketing industry.
Christine Gongaware
Lead Account Coordinator
Christine Gongaware is a Lead Account Coordinator at ACS. She joined the ACS team in 2016 and has worked in the fulfillment industry for 13 years. Christine has over thirty years’ experience working in the Customer Service sector in a variety of roles including Administration, Account Coordination and Management. In her current position she is focused on customer relations and retention directly living The ACS Mission “To uphold the highest standard of integrity while delivering exceptional and unsurpassed service, that makes a positive difference in the work lives of our clients”.
Christine is a Pennsylvania native and received a B.A. in Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management from Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA.
Gregory Shelton
Lead Account Coordinator
Greg is the Lead Account Coordinator and has been with the ACS team since 2021. Greg comes with over 12 years of team management experience in related fields and focuses on efficiently implementing work processes. In his current role, he works with multiple accounts and process improvements to execute business tasks cost-effectively and successfully.
His knowledge as a former ACS coordinator, with the close support of the Operations team, provides for a productive work environment.
